Rural County Citizens of California
We are concerned citizens of Tuolumne County who are committed to ensuring our community is informed and has a say about the Rural County Representatives of California's ("RCRC") and its corporate collaborator, Drax's, plans for a massive-scale wood pellet and
logging project in our community.
Join us for a FREE screening of Burned: Are Trees the New Coal? about the wood pellet industry and what it's doing to communities and the planet. We'll be watching with others who care about our community on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at The Game Room 14888 Peaceful Valley Rd, Sonora. We'll start with a BYO shirt branding session (light colors will work best as the transfer is black, see below) at 4 pm. Movie will start at 5 pm (47 min running time). We'll finish with a discussion of what we can do to stop this green washed boondoggle from getting a green light from our local leadership. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Thank you to Ria Rice-Lawson for creating this beautiful design. Once we thwart the horrific wood pellet project, we can replace the "Ax Drax" with something more fun! We'll have 9"x9" transfers to brand the t-shirt and/or sweatshirt you bring.
3 STEPS TO DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY
Our Community Forum on January 19 was a huge success! The room was full of engaged citizens asking questions of a diverse and informative panel. Thankfully Access Tuolumne recorded the meeting. Watch the video below.
We are continuing the conversation and are strategizing our opposition - we're also eager to come up with alternatives that address the need to protect our community from fire in ways that foster community wealth. Sign up to get emails here. Find us on Facebook at Tuolumne Together where we'll be posting about opportunities for action and information about how to participate in our weekly Zoom meetings.
